who is beck?
I'm a graphic designer and hobbyist from Australia.I’ve recently started introducing myself as “Beak” because I find it funny.
(I like memes a lot)I describe myself as "wacky" and "zany."
others have described me as “a pop-culture convention,” “constantly tripping on 3 x,” “cool alien babe,” “gigglepot,” and "goober.”My favourite colour is the gradient between hot pink and aqua.
(you might be able to tell!?)I grew up watching Star Trek, Midsomer Murders, and Pokemon with my family. I like the idea of space, but I think I’d be too scared to ever consider cosmic travel and I’m a true-crime buff - but on a more relevant note - I started drawing thanks to anime and my cousin.
(if you don't blame your family then whats the point?)I have the inane ability to magically become passionate about nearly anything.
(seriously I have far too many interests and i don't know how to tone it down)i’m pretty down to earth, i love experimenting with anything creative.

my rates
My usual rate is between $60 and $80 AUD per hour of work.Every job is unique, unfortunately I am unable to state an estimated price until I have enough information about the job.I am more than happy to work within a budget and provide you a schedule for payment plans.
I can also provide a flat rate quote (depending on the project), but please be advised it can take me some time to work up a plan for flat rate jobs.Often, jobs will require the use of extra resources (such as images or fonts, transport), depending on each job, this may incur an extra fee payable by you.Please refer to my Terms and Conditions for more.

I generally like to have a chat prior to providing quotations so that the quote will be as accurate as possible and we both have a good foundation to make sure you get what you're after.Provide as much information on what you are after as you can. Do you have any references or inspiration for this project?
Do you have a deadline?Please be sure to include some visual references, as this will help me to get your work done faster and to really get an understanding of what you’re after.If you are unsure of what you are after, let me know, and I can show you some examples and sketch some rough concepts.

terms & conditions
By accepting a quotation and hiring Beck Small Design, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions.
QUOTATIONSAll prices are in Australian Dollars.All Quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.Quotations that are not accepted within 30 days may be subject to amendment.
INVOICES & PAYMENTAn invoice will be issued to the client on completion of the project.All invoices are payable within 14 calendar days of the date of issue unless otherwise agreed.Payment is required in full prior to releasing high-resolution digital files, and/or supplying files for offset or digital printing, and/or publishing websites.
DEADLINESEvery possible effort is made by Beck Small Design to meet required deadlines.It is the client’s responsibility to notify Beck Small Design of deadlines prior to the commencement of the project.Additional charges may apply if Beck Small Design is required to work outside of quoted hours in order to meet deadlines.
REVISIONSAll corrections, changes or amendments to a project must be provided in writing.Each quotation allows the client some minor adjustments to their project. More than 2 major revisions will attract additional charges.Revisions deemed to take a large amount of time required to produce are major revisions, and a revised quote will be issued. Every effort will be taken by Beck Small Design to inform the client if a change will take a large amount of time and incur any extra fees.If the client does not wish to proceed with the project, an invoice will be issued for work that has been completed. I will try my hardest to let you know if something will be deemed a major change.
ERRORS & OMISSIONSWhilst all care is taken by Beck Small Design in producing proofs and final artwork, it is understood that the client assumes and accepts liability for any and all errors not corrected.The client is responsible for proofreading and identifying any errors or omissions prior to final approval.Should the client request a project reprint the client is solely responsible for payment of all associated costs.Beck Small Design cannot issue credit or refunds on printed work.
OFFSET & DIGITAL PRINTINGBeck Small Design can source printing as required.Printing that is not accounted for in the initial quotation attracts an additional cost which is payable by the client.Due to variations in computer settings, on-screen colour proofing may differ between monitors and devices, and can differ from the final printed result. Beck Small Design is not responsible for any colour variations that may occur between on-screen proofs and the final printed outcome.
USE OF IMAGESBeck Small Design can not use images that violate copyright.Client supplied images must be sourced from reputable stock photography libraries, or the client must be the copyright holder or have written permission from the copyright holder to use the image/s for commercial purposes.Beck Small Design can source professional stock photography as required.Professional stock photography that is not accounted for in the initial quotation attracts an additional cost which is payable by the client.
ADDITIONAL COSTSOn-site consultations are charged at the current hourly rate.Travel time and associated costs for on-site consultations may also be calculated as an additional cost.
PROMOTION AND COPYRIGHTBeck Small Design retains the right to publish and display any client projects in Beck Small Design’s portfolio, website, design periodicals, and other media or exhibits.Beck Small Design retains the copyright ownership to all of Beck Small Design’s artworks.
Copyright can be bought out for an extra fee.
